Older adults who are eligible for services are 60 years of age or older, low-income and have few other resources to help with needed tasks. Volunteers offer their services in the following ways:</p><ul><li>Escorted transportation: volunteers drive older adults to medical appointments </li><li>Grocery shopping: volunteers take older adults shopping or go shopping for homebound older adults </li><li>Household chores: help with light cleaning, even windows! </li><li>Yard work: volunteers mow lawns, trim hedges and bushes, rake leaves and help with yard clean-up </li><li>Minor home repairs: install smoke detectors, paint, small plumbing jobs, and other odd jobs </li></ul><p>Volunteers are extraordinary and caring people who can make a difference in the lives of older adults.
